Candolim beach


Candolim beach
Candolim beach is 15 kilometers away from the Panjim, the capital city of Goa. Candolim is a sences town in north Goa. This beach is situated just to the south to the famous Calangute beach. It is one of the longest beach in the state and located in the Bardez taluka. The beach itself is very calm and peaceful. Many of the tourist come here, with the view to feel relaxed during their vacations. The intresting feature about the candolim beach was the ship River Princes, which was at the shores of the  beach since 2000, but now it is being removed from the sea shore becauce of the sevral damages to the beach.

The one of the attractions to see near the candolim beach is the Aguanda fort. This fort was build by the Portoguse in 1612 for the purpose of defence against the dutch and the Maratha invendors. Along with the fort, the church, lighthouse and the Barracks of the Aguada jail have become the tourist attractions. Their are  many hotels and resorts provided near the Candolim beach. How to reach Candolim beach:
Candolim beach does not have a station, the nearest railway station is at Margao, which is at a distance of 48 kilometers from Candolim beach. The nearest interstate bus station is at Mapusa and the Dobolim airport provide the connective though air.
